Bloomsburg Marching Band had the honor of traveling to Philadelphia to march in the Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade—one of the oldest and longest-running parades in the country, established nearly 80 years ago and spanning two miles. The students were deeply grateful to accept the invitation and proudly honored those who gave everything for our freedom.
Our band students took a field trip to the Stuart Tank Memorial Museum in Berwick, PA, where they learned more about World War II and its impact. A highlight of the visit was the incredible honor of meeting a 98-year-old WWII veteran who served on PT boats—an unforgettable experience that brought history to life and deepened their appreciation for those who served.

On March 20th, our marching band took a few hours out of their evening to express gratitude by writing heartfelt letters to local veterans. Each note is a token of appreciation for their service and sacrifice. We are excited to honor them further during our upcoming trip to Pearl Harbor. Led by Amber Cease, the students will be meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month to honor veterans connected to our community.
If you have a veteran who would appreciate a note from the band, please reach out to us via email (bhspanthersband@gmail.com). As always, thank you for your support!
